1965 Triumph Spartan Roadster

Triumph Spartan Roadster. This 1965 Triumph Spartan has been restored as close as possible to its original condition. Although a '65 base, it has a 1296 cc engine from a later model Herald. As a kit car built by someone else in England, it is not perfect, and has its blemishes. For example, there are imperfections in the paint, along with some seat upholstery. A list of items dealt with during its recent restoration, as well as a brief video are linked below.Founded by Jim McIntyre, Spartan Cars was a manufacturer of kit cars in Pinxton, Derbyshire, UK, which operated from 1973 to 1995. Their most noted model was an open 2+2 Roadster, in the style of the MG TF. It was based on the chassis and mechanicals of the Triumph Herald or Vitesse. Production of this model was discontinued in 1979, as Heralds became harder to find. From 1980 to 1995, production shifted to a different model that used a Ford Cortina as its base. For more info and photos - http://brittsminis.com/Spartan.html
