Packard Six Convertible . This Packard six convertible will make an excellent restoration project. The body has had some repairs in the past and some patch panels from rust. Due to the absence of primer underneath exterior body paint amidst heavy lacquer checking, the body will need to be dipped and stripped or fully media blasted at the very least. Due to the presence of mold the interior will require a complete restoration. With a new battery installed, the starter will engage but the engine will not turn over. It could just need a new starter, but no promises regarding engine issues. The brakes will require complete service, pedal is to the floor. The transmission appears to shift freely. Original front and rear suspension shows signs of deterioration and all rubber components and will require rebuildingThe convertible top requires replacement, but the top frame all appears to be in good shape. All rubber seals and cloth trim require replacement. The tires are shot and will require replacement. The wheels and caps will require Replating or replacement.The underbody is sound and stable, with some rust. This car has been sitting in a storage unit in New York for approximately 20 or so years.
