1941 Packard Clipper Touring Sedan

Packard Clipper Touring Sedan. Complete history from new as I purchased car from original owner 52 years ago. It is whisper quiet and has clocked 62000 miles. Mechanics, interior, chrome, paint and all body panels original, and never rusted. One of the very best pre-war factory original lacquer finishes surviving on any car on earth. Several options including Packard script fog lamps and great Flying Lady hood ornament. Also have original brochure on which options and price were written after which 5% was deducted, the reason being all postal employees that bought a Packard were given a 5% discount because the Postmaster, Mr. Scanlon, also owned the Packard dealership. Car is a top contender in any show that has a pre-war unrestored class, Pebble Beach included. Several 1st place concours event awards attest to that. Past Pebble Beach Master of Ceremonies Ed Hermann once said " Few, if any of you have ever seen an original pre-war car this good " as he was presenting me with the prestigious FIVA trophy at a concours event in Saratoga New York. Car was featured in Automobile Quarterly's book " Packard the Pride " written by Julie Fenster on pp 176-180 and also on the paper book jacket along with General Patton's Packard. Poor health is reason for sale. Car should be in a museum, or at least owned by a great caretaker.

Price $ 64,000 mid size modern car partial trades up to 15k considered
