1972 Corvette LT-1

Corvette LT-1 . VERY RARE LT1 with A/C , TANK STICKER, #S MATCH LT-1 V8, 4-SPD, Highly OptionedThroughout Corvette history, there have been many collectible and rare Corvettes built. But, for many, there is none better then the LT-1, offering big block power without compromising balance and handling performance. The LT-1 Corvette offered acceleration and the ability to take corners and brake for the SCCA race series.1972, LT-1 marked the end of an era. It was the last solid lifter V8 produced by GM, and the last of the chrome bumper cars Aside from its incredible performance characteristics, a "real deal" documented 1970-1972 LT-1 Corvette is a "Blue Chip" investment grade Corvette due to its rarity. However, what's even more rare is finding a documented 1972 LT-1 with factory air conditioning. You see, for the first two years, Chevy wouldn't offer AC on a LT-1 engine. It was only in 1972 that they finally offered it as an option, but even then they were so concerned with whether or not the AC could hold together on the high-revving small block that they actually went as far to leave the 5600 redline RPM gauge that was standard for the 454 big block in the gauge cluster to deter people away from revving it to high. If you notice, any other LT-1 from 70-72 has a 6500 RPM redline tachometer in it! It is a mental deterrent, and it works! I've personally had this car to 140 MPH # 5600 RPM and was unwilling to press to the 6500 redline, although I knew it would do it.Out of the 20,000+ corvettes that were built in 1972, only 240 left that factory with factory A/C. This car is numbers matching and documented by still having the original tank sticker and multiple copies of the original order forms. Originally, this car was built and sold in Los Angeles and has lived its whole life in CA. This is a true "Garage Find" it has been off the road and hidden in my garage for the past 15 years. this vehicle comes with every receipt that I ever spent on the car from purchase on! The engine has been rebuilt back before I purchased it, it received a full black paint job , although the original paint code was for the very rare Warbonnett Yellow, which is a beautiful gold, in real life. The paint could stand to be redone, which would be the perfect opportunity to put the gorgeous gold paint back on this rare bird. This a also, very rare High option car. Most LT-1 cars were ordered stripped for racing. This has the deluxe leather interior, tilt/telescopic steering column, AM/FM stereo radio, Power windows, Power brakes, pop-out rear window, the A.I.R. system is still in place and functional, and, of course, the Air Conditioning.QOverall, cars like this don't pop up very often. Don't miss your chance to own one of the rarest corvettes ever to exists! This car is priced so very reasonably, so that can spend your money to restore it properly.
