1981 Pontiac Trans Am Coupe

Pontiac Trans Am Coupe. This is a replica car completely restored into the Smokey and the Bandit car. The engine is a pontiac 400 out of a 1973 trans am, limited slip 700R4 transmission with a 1900 stall converter and a 10 bolt rear end with original 2.73 gears. The engine is chromed out with a modern air conditioner 508 Sanden Chrome air conditioning compressor with R134a freon, Howard racing cam with a .462 lift, Holley Street Avenger 650 CFM double pump carburetor, block is bored @ +.060" (412CI), stock cast iron heads, Silvolite Hyper Pistons @ 10:1 compression, Edelbrock Performer Aluminum intake manifold, Pertronix Flame Thrower HEI distributor, chromed plated 100 watt alternator. It has true dual Flowmaster 40's exhaust with 2 1/2 inch pipe, welded on Competition Engineering sub frame connectors, Competition Engineering Slide-A-Link traction bars, drive shaft safety loop, stainless steel brake lines from front to rear with four wheel disc brakes. It has a remote controlled stereo in the glove compartment with the original 8-Track player in the dash. The upholstery on the front and back seats is 3 years old. I bought the car 3 years ago as is. It has only been driven to car shows and for the last year or so it has only gone around the block once a week and back in the garage. It won its class at the American Pontiac Association car show and at many others. I'm selling the car because it needs to be driven more than around the block once a week and it's time for someone else to enjoy as much as I have.
