1956 Ford Thunderbird Convertible

Ford Thunderbird Convertible. This car was built in USA and shipped to Europe along with 500 other Ford cars, according to Ford. The cars has a metric speedometer as Canada never went metric until 1976. The car ended up in bad Nauheim Germany. Elvis Presley was stationed in Friedberg Germany from Feb 3/59 to March 5/60. After living in hotels off base, he rented a house on #14 Goethestrasse. This car was made available for Elvis to drive. He also had rented a BMW convertible and had access to several cars while in Germany. I have owned this car for 30 years and never drove on the highway or in rain or sleet. Always kept immaculate. Standard stick shift. Original radio comes with the complete set of new tubes and speaker. Engine is a 312 ci V8 and a very trouble free car when compared to my 59 Corvette. This car has great nostalgic value. It could use a coat of fresh paint after 30 years but the pictures will show you it still looks very good.

Price $ 40,000 USD
