Batmobile Replica . This is a 1966 Batmobile from the TV show with Adam West. This is a replica. It is a Stage III Doug Hines production. (fiber glass fire wall, inside floor with transmission tunnel) The donor car was a pristine 1979 Lincoln Town Car, with 66,000 miles. It happened to be a funeral car and was in very good condition. I removed the body from the chassis and removed every part from the chassis. After having everything removed, the frame was fully sandblasted and painted red. I'm a mechanic by trade so I went ahead and replaced everything starting from the back of car. I replaced the air shocks, drums, brake shoes (bendix), wheel cylinders with new hardware(Motorcraft), new exhaust, and a completely remanufactured Ford C6 automatic transmission. Moving to the front end, I replaced the shocks (Motorcraft), front end bushings, including the sway bar links, upper and lower ball joints, as well as A-frame bushings. I also replaced master cylinder. both front rotors and pads with new calibers and also put in new brake lines as well as all new wheel bearings and seals. The engine is also a completely remanufactured 351CID ford, with new Carter carborator, new starter, new GM style HEI distributor with wires. It has a new electric fuel and water pump, These cars mostly run hot so therefore I have designed an auxiliary cooling system, with all aluminum radiator and electric fans. I have installed a new steering column and floor shifter. I have two buckets seats still in the boxes.The wire harness is in the car and a very simple design with everything labeled and most of it is connected. There are four new Cragar batmobile style wheels on the front and back and the rear tires are brand new. The afterburner has been fabricated but needs inner workings. Trunk mounted rocket tube are new and cut in. I have as you can see from the pictures, all the hard to get props as well as a new Adam West style costume. See pictures.
